From the supplier: The use of the group therapy process and feminist theory helped women partners of combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder to dissociate and individuate. Individuation was especially difficult as improved mental health was seen as causing pain the partner by undermining the partner’s safe haven. They also needed to overcome emotional numbing and regain access to their feelings.
