2 Stars But Not For Me
This arrived in a bubble pack mailer. It was packaged inside a plastic case. No instructions on a recommended way to thread the strap through. I found on the web some pictures of how others attached it to the camera. When I attached it, it felt like more of a problem than a solution.

Instructions would be helpful, but I probably would have rejected it anyway. I use a holster camera case and there is no room for the strap in it.

Sure, I can return it (thanks, Amazon), but for the low price, I’m not even going to bother.

4 Stars Great Product!! Exactly what i needed
I brought this product to support my Rebel XSI and it does a great job when I’m out in the field. The only complaint i have with it is that the straps will occasionally loosen up over time, but this could also be due to lens weight. I think this product works just as great as anything else out there.

I love this strap. The only thing is that I had to re-string it so that it would stay tight. I had a guy at my local camera store help me with that. After that, it stays tight. Great grip, and it was a good investment. One thing that I also like is that I can still use a tripod while it’s still connected!

4 Stars Good Alternative to Shoulder Strap
I had been wanting a wrist strap for my Rebel XT for a long time. The shoulder strap that came with the camera was simply too cumbersome since I had to wrap around my hand a couple times every time before I picked up my camera. The Opteka wrist strap works pretty well for me. I’ve used it for over a month. I’ve gone on vacation to places like the Grand Canyon. It secures the camera very well to my hand. Some complained that it affects the index finger position. I don’t know how much it is XT’s fault vs. the wrist strap’s fault since XT’s grip isn’t that great to begin with. Regardless, it required a bit of getting used to and didn’t seriously bother me. I also don’t know how much better it could get since I haven’t tried any other product. Other complained that it blocks the battery compartment door. Well, I just loosen the bottom nob and swing the plastic piece over to unblock the door. It’s so convenient that I don’t consider that as an obstacle. It’s more like a feature. I wouldn’t fret about it. Overall, this wrist strap is a very affordable improvement to my shooting experience. For those who are looking to get rid of the shoulder strap, this is a very good alternative.
